Designed primarily for the Australian mining sector, this 558-ton beast features a 12% increase in production capacity compared to its predecessor.

Crucially for the parts market, Hitachi has focused heavily on component durability, expanding the use of high-strength steel castings in the boom and improving welding methods for the arm and upper frame.

These changes are specifically designed to "reduce the frequency of overhauls," signaling a trend where OEMs are engineering parts to last longer in high-wear environments .
