Track chains and groups function to allow crawler-type heavy machinery to move efficiently. These track chains and groups are made up of flexible links that are connected together by fittings called pins and bushings. There are two types of track chains that exist for heavy machinery: dry chains and lubricated chains. As the name implies, the differences lie in the amount of lubrication on the track’s pins and bushings, which can impact cost and the amount of wear a track receives over time.

Automated production lines as well as continuous research and improvement provide our Dry Track Links consistent quality. The 35MnBH material was chosen for its long durability and reliability. After treatment, the chain goes through thermal refining first, and then its chain rail surface undertakes medium frequency induction. All the heat treatment ensure chain strength and wear-resisting property greatly.

As pins and bushings are of the utmost importance in the wear of undercarriage parts, we have taken special care to extend the lifetime of pins with higher surface hardness, while bushings have been treated with a greater surface hardness than Rockwell HRC60.

After the pin sleeve is modulated, the surface is subjected to intermediate frequency quenching treatment to ensure reasonable core hardness and wear resistance of the inner and outer surfaces.
